To the Bay & Back Canal Cruise
A Relaxing Ride to Rehoboth Bay
Join Cape Water Tours and Taxi for a peaceful boat ride to Rehoboth Bay. Completed in 1927, the canal, which is about 10 miles long, connects the Delaware and Rehoboth Bays. As stated on the sign posted by the bridge over the canal in Rehoboth, the canal was initially a means of access to the sea for farmers and sawmills along the Indian River and the Bay. Today, it is used by commercial and pleasure boats and provides access to the Delaware Bay, the Rehoboth Bay, and Indian River Inlet.
This tour is not narrated, however, the crew is happy to answer any questions you have about the canal. You will board a Cape Water Tours vessel at Harbour Marina (Anglers Road) for this two-hour cruise to the Rehoboth Bay and back. Enjoy great views of local attractions and scenery, and bring your camera for photo opportunities as we cruise along the canal.
