Front of House Manager

Chesapeake & Maine is seeking an Off-Centered FOH Manager to join our super talented restaurant team.  As Chesapeake & Maine enters its second summer season, we’re excited about our delectable seafood menu and extremely proud of our incredible craft cocktail program which has recently received a James Beard nomination at the national level! Reporting to the General Manager, you will be charged with running a smooth, efficient and on-brand Front of the House operation. With the support of your Assistant Manager, you will drive all Front of House initiatives while being an amazing leader for your team. At Dogfish we care about our people and the successful candidate will share this philosophy to guide, coach and develop the team. You must excel in guest interactions with a focus on creating exceptional guest experiences and inspiring the team to do the same. You must be a seasoned executor of events with a keen eye for details. A smoothly running operation is made easier throu gh great processes and systems and you must always be proactive with ensuring great staffing/resource effectiveness, scheduling, budget adherence and POS and payroll reporting. The ideal candidate must care passionately about safety and ensure there is a critical emphasis placed on quality and cleanliness. With tremendous momentum from 2016 we’re excited to see where 2017 takes us, and know it all starts with a great team! It’s going to be an amazing summer and we’d love you to be a part of the fun!

What You Need To Land This Gig:

Qualified applicants must have a bachelor’s degree, preferably with concentration in a Hospitality related field and 5-7 years of management experience in a fast paced, high volume restaurant. Prior experience coupled with a passion for managing and coaching staff is a must. We’re looking for a dynamic individual with a passion for this industry, and desire to bring this passion to life for our guests and coworkers. Chesapeake & Maine serves dinner seven days a week, year-round and this role should have great ability to cover these windows as well as holidays.
