The Rehoboth Beach and Dewey Beach Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Center was founded in 1940 and is the State’s largest membership Chamber.  Our full time, year round staff creates and organizes programs that benefit business, the community, the visitor, and is a referral services for over 1,300 Members.  We are the main marketing arm for the Resort Area.  The Chamber also greets & assists visitors, answers thousands of questions through our Visitors Center, summer Boardwalk Kiosk and Administrative Office.The Rehoboth Beach-Dewey Beach Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Center is a powerful voice responding to issues of legislation at all levels. The Chamber’s legislative representative, Lincoln Willis of the Willis Group, LLC, is the voice of the business community at Legislative Hall.  General membership meetings are held throughout the year, and Members are invited on a regular basis to business after hours networking events and depend on the Chamber for unity.

What is the Chamber’s official geographic territory?  The official service territory includes the 19971 zip code area, which runs from Midway on Route One East to Downtown Rehoboth and South into Dewey following Route 1 to the Indian River Bridge. The Chamber actively seeks membership with all establishments located within or doing business within this geographic area.  Any business, including those outside of the 19971 zip code, is welcome to join the Chamber.

Membership Geographic Territories.  For the purposes of membership counts, the geographic boundaries are defined as Route One, Downtown, Dewey Beach, Lewes and Other:

• Route One: Midway to the Y split at Route 1 & 1A
• Downtown: The Y split at Route 1 & 1A Rehoboth Avenue to beach & adjacent blocks
• Dewey: The split at Route 1 & 1A to the middle of Indian River Bridge
• Lewes & Other: Any location not listed in above categories

Can or how do businesses located outside the Chamber’s designated service area become members?  Many businesses weigh the services offered by various Chambers and choose to only join the Rehoboth Beach-Dewey Beach Chamber of Commerce while others decide to join several Chambers when the services offered make good advertisement, information distribution and/or business sense.
