Founded by the Rehoboth Beach - Dewey Beach Chamber of Commerce, the mission of the International Student Outreach Program (ISOP) is to work within the greater Lewes, Rehoboth Beach and Dewey Beach areas to create a hospitable community that welcomes and provides a safe environment for international students by offering meals, transportation, emergency assistance and fellowship. Led by the Lewes Rehoboth Association of Churches, local Chambers of Commerce, businesses and residents, ISOP is a faith-based initiative open to all volunteers.

STUDENT ORIENTATION INFORMATION

The session will include information about transportation, personal safety, banking, applying for your social security card, exciting trips and cultural events planned for you, and important information you'll need during your stay.   Dates are June 2, June 16 and June 29.  All sessions are 11:00AM - 12:30PM.  Sign up and locations will be on the j1rehoboth.com website.

TRANSPORTATION INFORMATION

175_WatsonChamber2010.150Pamphlets and maps are availalbe at the Rehoboth Beach - Dewey Beach Chamber of Commerce Visitors Center at 501 Rehoboth Avenue, Rehoboth Beach (across from 7-11).  Visit Dart First State for resort transit services (www.beachbus.com or www.dartfirststate.com).  Other transportation services include the Jolly Trolley (www.jollytrolley.com) or Best Bus Beach Bus (www.bestbus.com).  There will be no Greyhound bus service direct to Rehoboth Beach.  Bus service is available to Wilmington and Ocean City, MD.  Visit www.greyhound.com for more schedule and information. Airport pick up and drop off can be arranged through E-Point Student Travel Center at www.ocstudentcenter.com/airport-pick

Check with your employer first. If they do not have a bike for you, the Lewes Rehoboth Association of Churches (LRAC) has free bikes with proper lighting to loan students. Sign up for a bicycle at any of the free dinners at the churches on Monday through Thursday beginning May 27. (See the schedule for 2014 Meal Program.) You will be required to attend one safety information session in order to receive a bicycle.
