Eleven days of exceptional, offbeat, inspiring, dramatic, engaging and entertaining films is what you will enjoy at the 22nd anniversary of the Rehoboth Beach Independent Film Festival from Oct 31 – Nov 10, 2019. Twenty-three feature films from sixteen countries will take you to the mountains of Turkey to the countryside of France; the rural communities of Peru to the urban drama of Berlin; tales of romance in Australia to webs of intrigue in Romania. And simply one unforgettable film from Georgia.

This year’s Festival features a rich and diverse assortment of American and international features, twelve documentaries, and fourteen short films. The selection includes coming of age stories told from the perspective of young women finding their voice, a man played by Oscar winner Christoph Waltz doing his best impression of chasing the American dream, a doc about the world of competitive dog grooming, the tale of oddball family living above a community theater they own in New York City, moving docs about the toll immigration takes on families, and a French comedy about 40-something guys, all on the verge of a mid-life crisis, that decide to form their local pool's first synchronized swimming team -- for men plus many more wonderful films.

The Festival will take place at three venues, the Rehoboth Beach Film Society’s Cinema Art Theater (Main Theater and JEMS Theater), the Unitarian Universalists Southern Delaware, and the Cape Henlopen High School.

Ticket sales open Oct. 14. Visit rehobothfilm.com to view the online program and get all the information you need about films, screening schedules, or how to purchase tickets. Pick up a program at local libraries, the Cinema Art Theater, and hotels throughout the area. There are plenty of volunteer opportunities during this event as well.
