Delaware Goes to War Re-Enactment

The annual Delaware Goes to War Re-enactment will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 26, 2014, at Fort Miles in Cape Henlopen State Park. One hundred re-enactors in World War II U.S. and German uniforms will display historic vehicles, fire artillery, operate a vintage searchlight and re-enact a German submarine surrender at Fort Miles in 1945. Presentations on the Civil Air Patrol, the Navy at Cape Henlopen and the home front will be given. Docents will be in Battery 519 to detail its history. The cost is $3, plus park entrance fees.
