24th Annual Sea Witch Halloween & Fiddler's Festival

From October 25, 2013 11:00 am until October 27, 2013 1:00 pm

Join your batty friends and Wing It at Sea Witch! The 24th Annual Festival will be held on October 25-27, 2013.  The heart of the event is located in Downtown Rehoboth Beach and expands into the Town of Dewey Beach and onto Coastal Highway.

The festival begins on Friday with fun activities such as the tyke byke procession on the Boardwalk. The choo choo express and family movie will both be held in Grove Park. Don’t forget your chairs and blankets. The neighboring Rehoboth Beach Museum holds a history tour aboard the Jolly Trolley. Friday also includes lantern tours at the Indian River Lifesaving Station, and Trick or Treating and a haunted bonfire in Dewey Beach.

On Saturday, tens of thousands of people fill the ocean block of Rehoboth Avenue to watch the popular costume parade, lead by the 2012 Business of the Year, Delaware Beach Life Magazine. The parade begins at the Convention Center where costumed goblins, local bands and floats merge together and proceed down the Avenue. After the parade, weekend activities continue with: scarecrow making, beach games, horse parade on the beach, broom tossing contest, and much more. Feeling lucky? Purchase a raffle ticket or join the hunt for the “Sea Witch.” With moon light guiding your steps, finish the day’s fun by trick or treating with participating merchants. Live Bandstand performances are on-going.

Calling all monsters...With tails! The best costumed dog parade route is over one mile long and continues to be one of the most popular events of the weekend. The little monsters line up at the north end of the Boardwalk and wag their way south to Laurel Street & return to Rehoboth Avenue from Laurel Street. Past entries include bow-wows dressed as cheerleaders, smurfs, and cartoon characters.

The award winning Sea Witch Festival brings families from near and far to the Resort Area for a fun filled weekend. For more information, visit the Sea Witch Festival page or call 302-227-2233 ext. 0.
