This event is co-hosted by dimitraYOGA's Terri Surabian & Sue Nyden, on behalf of the Jewish Family Services of Delaware.

Terri Surabian is a 500 hour registered yoga instructor since 2012. She considers herself a teacher since age 10, when she taught her younger siblings the songs she learned at Girl Scout camp. Those early experiences led to a first career teaching high school music and singing in operas in Washington, DC. Later, she found herself developing curriculum and teaching adults how to use software, then recruiting and training instructors at a software company, and finally onto managing the training function for numerous software implementations for the federal government. Somewhere along the way, Terri met and fell in love with yoga, so of course she wanted to teach that too! After completing 200 HR RYT with Sun and Moon Yoga Studio in Arlington, she began teaching yoga part-time, retired and moved with her husband to Rehoboth Beach, where she completed a 500 HR RYT program. Living near the sea and teaching yoga at dimitraYOGA (Lewes & Rehoboth) is truly a dream come true for me. W hen I’ m not in the studio teaching or practicing yoga, I enjoy running on the boardwalk, biking the trails, cooking, and singing in my church choir.

Sue Nyden, LCSW, has worked in the field of Aging and Disabilities services since 1976 in a variety of settings including community action programs, nursing homes, medical adult daycare, hospice and home health care, developing an expertise in helping older adults to age with dignity and self-worth. In 2001, Sue initiated the Maryland Older Adult Waiver Program for the Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services, providing community-based services as an alternative to institutionalization. After moving to Delaware in 2015, Sue began working with the Jewish Family Services in Sussex County, where she is currently a therapist and provider for the Care Navigation Program. Sue is also a fellow dimitraYOGI and friend of the studio.
