NEW CONTEST DATE - CONTEST TO BE HELD ANNUALLY THE SATURDAY FOLLOWING LABOR DAY! MARK YOUR CALENDARS FOR THE 38TH ANNUAL SANDCASTLE CONTEST SCHEDULED FOR SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 10, 2016!

GENERAL INFORMATION

The Rehoboth Beach-Dewey Beach Chamber of Commerce (RBDBCC) is pleased to host the 38th Annual Sandcastle Contest on Saturday, September 10, 2016. Over 100 teams are expected to express their artistic flair. Past creations have included Swamp Animals, Mermaids, Pyramids, Crabs, Dolphins, Sharks and of course traditional sandcastles. Beachgoers who would rather watch than work are welcome to view the incredible creations free of charge.

RBDBCC Business Members are encouraged to compete in the business category, represent your company in the sand! Entries will be judged on “Structural Engineering,” “Use of Materials,” “Imagination,”, “Overall Aesthetic Appeal”, as well as “Representation of Business.” The winning business will receive a trophy and bragging rights for the entire year!
