GENERAL INFView MoreORMATION The Rehoboth Beach-Dewey Beach Chamber of Commerce (RBDBCC) is pleased to host the 38th Annual Sandcastle Contest on Saturday, September 10, 2016. Over 100 teams are expected to express their artistic flair. Past creations have included Swamp Animals, Mermaids, Pyramids, Crabs, Dolphins, Sharks and of course traditional sandcastles. Beachgoers who would rather watch than work are welcome to view the incredible creations free of charge. RBDBCC Business Members are encouraged to compete in the business category, represent your company in the sand!  Entries will be judged on “Structural Engineering,” “Use of Materials,” “Imagination,”, “Overall Aesthetic Appeal”, as well as “Representation of Business.”  The winning business will receive a trophy and bragging rights for the entire year! 39th Annual Nanticoke Powwow

The 39th Annual Nanticoke Indian Powwow will be held Saturday, September 10 and Sunday, September 11, 2016.  The Powwow grounds are located in the middle of a natural wooded area off John  JView More. Williams HIghway (SR 24) between Routes 113 and 1. The grounds will open at 10:00 AM on Saturday and the grand entry will be at Noon.   Sunday morning begins with a worship service at 10:00 AM and grand entry at 1:30 PM.  Native American crafts and food vendors open at 10:00 AM on Saturday and Noon on Sunday. Attendees who are wheelchair-bound or who have motorized wheelchairs should enter the grounds on Mt. Joy Road.  Special seating for these handicapped individuals will continue to be available and monitored by Powwow staff.    View Less
