World Oceans Day Film, Wine and Cheese at the Beach

The MERR Institute will be celebrating World Oceans Day by sponsoring a special event that will feature the very profound film "Sonic Seas", a film that depicts the effects of underwater noise on marine animals. Underwater noise pollution has a huge negative impact on marine creatures and can range from unpleasant to fatal, as in the case of seismic testing. Please help us celebrate the oceans by learning more about this important subject. Our event will also include guest speakers who are authorities on the subject of underwater acoustics, and we will be offering wine and cheese and other refreshments to round out the festivities.
