8th Annual Fire Fightin' 5K Run/Walk

The Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Company is proud to present our 8th Annual 5K Run/Walk on Sunday August 21, 2022. It’s going to be a great morning for a run and some fun!

Fast and flat! Run through the streets of Rehoboth Beach across the boardwalk and back. Our race is the only race during the summer months that goes onto the board walk!

Not into running - you can walk the race as well or just hang out at the fire station with our members 

Special treat - we will have some of our very own running this year in their full bunker gear and SCBA. Have a friend of family member in the fire service? Have them join us in their gear!


Race Details:

• 7:45am - FREE Kids Fire Dash for kids 8 and under. Run around the fire station through the city parking lot and finish at the main finish line. This is a great photo op and every runner receives an award!
• 8:00am - 5K starts! Let's go! click below link for course map !!  How far did I run? - Create running maps with On The Go Map
• 9:00 - After Party! Meet real firefighters and EMS, explore apparatus and learn about fire safety and have your face painted all inside the fire station.
• Registration held at Station 1 in downtown Rehoboth Beach on Rehoboth Ave.
• Register online:   8th REHOBOTH BEACH FIREFIGHTIN' 5K | Seashore Striders.  Race Day Registration will be from 6:30 am-7:55 am

  • $25.00 "EARLY BIRD" Race Registration through Sunday, August 20th at midnight
  • $30.00 "RACE DAY" Race Registration from 6:30 am - 7:20 am on site Sunday, August 21st
• Awards:
  • All of the Kids Fire Dash participants will receive an award.
  • Top 3 Finishers in 5 year age groups from 9 to 80
