A career in Childcare as a Child Development Director at the YMCA of Delaware's Sussex Branch means you are looking to be part of our mission to empower youth, foster health living, and promote strong communities. Under the direction of the Sr. Child Development Director the incumbent will be responsible for curriculum development, assist with the opening of new sites, assist with the overall operation of the Before & After Care programs. Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors’ degree from an accredited college/university in education, recreation, human services social service, or other related fields. Must possess or have the ability to possess a Delaware School-Age Administrator certificate.
  • Minimum of 4 years of applicable program management experience, preferably in a YMCA or other childcare facility.
  • Twenty-four months of experience working with school age children in a group setting.
  • Twelve months of budget, fiscal management/profit and loss responsibility.
